Story

Thank you for taking the time to read through this page which is dedicated to Anya Burns, who has now sadly passed away after her fight with Scleroderma on the 31st March 2020.

This was not easy to write, but I know Anya would have wanted to make a difference, and so do we.

Anya was diagnosed almost 2 years ago with Scleroderma. Although Anya's family (mum Tia, dad Steve, brother Jamie and sister Siani) and I could see the struggle she was going though, she never gave up and always kept a brave face.

We were due to get married in August this year and I could see she was full of joy when organising the wedding with her mum, and although we didn't reach the day we had almost 10 years together and for that I am so thankful.
Anya also loved animals and she was the proud 'Mummy' of our two nutty Labs, Buddy and Ruby, and Chippy, our rabbit.

With your help we could help other families to get through this disease with better treatment and hopefully one day, a cure.

Anya, you will all ways be in our hearts and in those of everyone who knew you and thank you so much for letting us be a part of yours.

Lots of love, Tia and Steve, Jamie, Siani and your fiance, Joshua.
