Story

On 5th June 2020 My sister Amy-Leanne Stringfellow was cruely taken from us at the hands of a monster. Before this time she had made plans with our mum to help train her to run a half marathon before she was over 50 years old. Mum is 51 in July of this year and she is running the 13.1k that she is training her absolute hardest for - with the help of my sisters spirit. This event will take place on the 5th June 2021, exactly a year after my sister gained her wings. Starting at Amy-Leanne's resting place in Arksey cemetry and ending at a destination in Sprotbrough (where Amy lived with aurora) - final destination still yet to be arranged due to government restrictions.  Along the way they will be running past important places that have been a part of Amy's life.

Our mum will be running with my step father, my cousin and my niece's father. Just like many people in this world our mum enjoys an alcoholic beverage to socialise. Today, the 10th April 2021 our mother celebrates 100 DAYS ALCOHOL FREE. Alcohol was not supporting her in dealing with the endless emotions that have occured every day since Amy was taken away from us. The strength and courage this has taken, during the most difficult and heartbreaking time of her life is truly inspiring and we are so proud of her. How you ask has she done this? Well our mother is a wonderful Nanny to her 3 beautiful and perfect grandbabies. Layla-beau, Aurora and Hendrix. They have been and still are her biggest strength and reason for making sure she survives every day and powers on. It has been so difficult to see a way forward, so difficult to keep waking up everyday and doing just the smallest things that keep us alive. We absolutely understand why some days it is too hard to do these things and the pain takes over. So our aim is to raise money for the charity Winstons Wish so that they can be that helping hand, that supportive network that provides, empowers and helps children through their bereavement.

This is the best way we can support others, which in turn will hopefully help us to support ourselves.
This is the first of our many steps in moving forward in the most positive way we can.

Following this we are working very hard towards presenting a petition to parliament with a 100,000 signatures on in the aim of changing the law. When the monster who murdered my sister took his own life, only days before he was due to stand trail, the law in place held that a deceased person cannot be prosecuted. Despite overwhelming evidence, in the eyes of the law, the monsters crime died with him. The law must change and my sister MUST get her justice. As my mum crosses the finish line on the 5th June 2021 i will be waiting for her to sign what will be the opening of this petition. Her signature will be the first of as many as it takes for us to inflict this change.

WE WILL BE HEARD!

Please help us in anyway you can.
