Emmaus Bristol Lifesaving Challenge

Fran Blishen is raising money for Emmaus Bristol

A half marathon daily for three months · 20 November 2021

This winter, our team aims to raise money for the Emmaus Bristol Lifesaving Challenge to purchase a much-needed local community defibrillator and training for the Stokes Croft area of Bristol.

Story

I am running or walking a half marathon every day from December 1st to the end of February to raise money for a defibrillator. It will be a challenge and I will get very tired at times, but worth it for this cause. Emmaus is all about helping others, whoever you are. I work for Emmaus Bristol and love it! I am also doing this challenge, as I find the world a pretty challenging place right now, what with Covid, the climate crisis and injustices everywhere! I feel the need to do something to help others, and this in turn helps my mental health! Running and walking have saved my life, helping me with my own congenital heart conditions, and a defibrillator for this local area can save other people's lives. It's a win win challenge.   Please support me to so that I can support Emmaus Bristol to install a life-saving defibrillator. Thank you!
