Venus Challenge · 17 September 2010
I can't deny it - I have left it REALLY late, but hopefully no-one will think any the worse of me! This Friday, I am doing the Venus Challenge in memory of my lovely father-in-law, David Harling, who, as you all know, died last year because of a brain tumour. I didn't know him for nearly long enough, but he was a very special person.
So, the Venus Challenge is a 10k walk, which starts at mid-night on Friday. I'm walking with Sandra, my mother-in-law, who has organised for us to take part with some of her friends. We're walking in support of the St Michael's Hospice, which is in Hereford. Apparently, I may even have to wear fancy dress, which for those of you who know me is likely to be a far bigger challenge than the walk itself.
Please help me raise as much money as possible for this great hospice, in David's memory.
