Story
Our dear sister in-law was diagnosed nine years ago with stage III ovarian cancer and she bravely faced all the treatment sessions and received wonderful emotional support from a marvellous and dedicated team of nursing professionals and my brother who became her Carer throughout the last few months of her life.
Our family now wish to show our appreciation and support of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity to contribute towards them continuing with their determined efforts to help others as they did our sister in-law.
We shall be part of Team Georgie which also consists of my brother Michael (Georgie's loving husband) and our daughter Becky and husband Luke and Jessie and her partner Damien. Our challenge will be to walk over 6-7 hours throughout the dark of night up to the summit of Mt Snowdon rising to 1,085 metres! We shall then make our descent as the sun rises.....so we are hoping for clear cloudless skies!
The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity raises money solely to support The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre. They ensure their nurses, doctors and research teams can provide the very best care and develop life-saving treatments, which are used across the UK and around the world. From funding state-of-the-art equipment and groundbreaking research, to creating the very best patient environments. The Royal Marsden are continually looking for ways to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.
