At Scott Brownrigg, staff across our offices in the UK will be undertaking various challenges to raise money for The Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust andAlzheimer's Research UK. 

We have supported The Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust since 2010. Through the Trust we offer paid internships to assist young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to follow a career in architecture.  Support for, and involvement with the Trust includes: providing students with first-hand experience of life within our busy architectural studio via work placements and mentoring programmes; coaching on interview techniques and CV preparation; showcasing students' work in an annually held exhibition at the London head office to raise the profile of the Trust’s work as well as the abilities of the students themselves. The practice is committed to supporting the next generation of architects, and through the Trust has provided guidance and encouragement and employment to many bursary students.

In addition, the practice is this year also supporting Alzheimer's Research UK, the UK’s leading research charity aiming to defeat dementia. Their world class research and pioneering work focuses on prevention, treatment and finding a cure sooner.

London, Guildford and Aldershot offices team up to do the Thames Challenge the weekend of 12 September 2015 to raise money through:

• A 30 mile riverside walk from Wallingford to Medmenham (fundraising target £100 per person)
• A 10 mile riverside walk, joining the above from Reading to Medmenham (fundraising target £20 per person, £10 for children)
• And a 20 mile canoeing route from Lower Basildon to Medmenham (limited places left) (fundraising target £100 per person)
