We enable physically disabled people to to enjoy inclusion through technology
Story
The weekend of the 27th November, we are holding our own in-house, weekend-long Game Jam: FrancoJam v1.1, over at CA Towers, for the second year running, to both commemorate a great friend and raise money for the charity 'SpecialEffect'. Simon Franco was a dear friend and colleague to many here at CA who sadly passed away June 2014. He was a Senior Programmer on Alien Isolation as well as having worked on many Total War games over his 10 year employment with us. Simon was a big Magic the Gathering enthusiast, with a passion for creating retro games in spare time as well as being a dedicated father who sadly didn’t get to meet his youngest daughter before he passed. He was positive, kind and always had a time for anyone that asked for it. We were all deeply saddened by his sudden passing last year and to commemorate his life, work, and passion for retro gaming we’re hosting a weekend-long GameJam in his honour.
SpecialEffect enable fun, inclusion, independence and a better quality of life for physically disabled people across the world through the inspirational use of adaptive technology.
