Story

On Monday 3rd October, 2016 I self-admitted to Salisbury District Hospital not feeling particularly great.

The A&E team and supporting triage teams started to try to determine the problem. On 5th October I was diagnosed with CLL (Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia) - and so started the long journey of Chemotherapy and recovery.

On 14th July, 2017 (Bastille Day) I was given the all clear as part of a clinical trial by Cancer UK.

Whilst clear of the cancer, I am still dealing with the aftermath of the Chemotherapy and the recovery was not helped due to the fact I was so 'broken' on admission.

That being said I am now just over one year in remission and felt that it was the right time to try and give something back to the hospital and staff who have helped and supported myself and my family through the journey so far.

Thank you for reading this far and thank you for supporting this important cause.

Marathon planned for 22nd August, 2018 - My Birthday!
