IT’S ON!

On the 21st October 2018 I will be taking part in an ultra MMA event to raise money for two worthy causes…Cancer Research UK and Just Rifles.

Please take a few minutes to read the following to understand my reasons and to learn a little more about Cancer Research UK and Just Rifles

I joined the British Army at 17 and served 14 years with The Royal Green Jackets. I now serve with The Rifles as reservist. Just Rifles is a charity very close to my heart…

Just Rifles began with solicitor Bryan Fugler reserving two seats in the box at Spurs for every home game, specifically for Riflemen and Women. He did this in memory of a family friend who was shot and killed in action in Sangin, Afghanistan. And now is run by a small team and Bryan/s wife Carol

The Rifles sustained the highest level of losses and injuries of any frontline regiment in Afghanistan.
Amongst those who joined Bryan, a conversation about the everyday needs of ex-soldiers began and the seed of Just Rifles was born.
The overriding aim of Just Rifles is to provide practical and immediate support to ex-service personnel who have served in the Rifles Regiment whether they have sustained injuries or need vocational training so they can get a worthwhile job. Just Rifles provide specialist sports equipment to amputees; adaptive technology for the home to increase independent living; support with mental health trauma and help with funding to retrain and attend college.


For my part I will be training to get into the best physical shape and plan to lose 8 to 10 kg in 8 weeks, before getting in the ring with an opponent in a battle of skills, fitness and technique in a full-contact combat sport to raise funds for these two amazing charities…what can you do to help? I will be booking 4 Tables of 10 people at a cost of £50 per person, with this you get a seat close to the Cage and a two-course meal with Entry and waitress service

With the tables it needs to be sorted in two weeks from now, so let me know, or you can buy a ticket for £20 pounds,
