Tough Mudder London West 2022 · 21 May 2022 to 22 May 2022 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
As many of you will know, we were recently devastated by the news that our beautiful, funny, witty, gentle and kind-hearted Frank lost his fight against the darkness despite fighting for so long. He was just 26 years old.
The truth is, there are no words that will ever be able to explain the hole in our hearts or fill the silence in the days that stretch out in front of us without him in them.
He was one of a kind. Anyone who knew him will know this.
They will also know that Frank took on challenges that only one of a kind people would dare to take on. An example of this is the Marathon des Sables event which Frank was due to take part in this year. For those of you who don't know, the Marathon des Sables is a six-day, 251km ultramarathon which takes place in the Sahara Desert. It has been regarded as the toughest foot race on Earth. We have no doubt that Frank would have crossed the finish line.
Someone as special as Frank does not come around often in this world and so, my cousins and I will be taking on a much more manageable challenge (for us) and will be taking part in a Tough Mudder race in May this year, in memory of our Frank. We will be raising money for YoungMinds, a mental health charity striving to create a world where no young person feels alone with their mental health. To achieve this, that wait for support has to end. If all young people can get the mental health support they need, when they need it, YoungMinds hope that they can stop an emerging mental health need becoming a crisis.
We sincerely appreciate every single donation made, no matter how small or big and we do of course understand that not everyone can afford to donate so if you could still share the link with your friends/family, that would also go a very long way in helping ❤
We are not just racing for Frank, but with him in our hearts, and he sure as hell is going to be annoyed when he's finished the race and we're only halfway through the first obstacle...
