This summer I will be taking part in a school volunteering trip to Malawi (one of the poorest countries in the world). Of the 15.9 million Malawians, about 12 million are living below the international poverty line ($1.25 a day) and through my fundraising I’m hoping to make a small difference to the lives of the people I am fortunate enough to be visiting. During this trip we will be working within orphanages, supporting crucial work within hospitals, improving facilities in schools and volunteering within care homes and a school for the blind. A way of supporting these amazing projects I am hoping to raise £250 which will go completely to these worthy causes, even the smallest donation to these incredibly brave people will make a massive difference.
