on 8 March 2010
We are raising money in memory of Fred Hindley who sadly died of a brain tumour last year.
Fred was always at his happiest in the mountains. He took every opportunity to ski, try out new routes and challenge himself, family and friends. We have decided that there can be no better way to remember him than to take on a skiing challenge. The Haute Route is a 180 km High Alpine traverse from Chamonix in France to Zermatt in Switzerland. We set out on 24 April and the route should take about six to seven days depending on weather conditions. Have a look at the youtube video of a previous expedition and we hope you will be as enthused as we are.
Please note we have financed the cost of the trip ourselves and that your donation will go directly to Cancer Research Uk.
Thank you
Nick Bates and Richard Swaine
