Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit our Just Giving page.

Following the loss of our adored Frosty, we have been comforted by realising just how well liked and loved he was and the impact his passing has had on so many people.

We have received support from many sources including the fabulous Sunflowers Suicide Support. This charity, based in Gloucestershire, was founded by people who know the pain and trauma of loss by suicide to offer support to people bereaved in this way.

As well as raising awareness around suicide, the support offered by Sunflowers includes practical advice, support groups, grief recovery courses and counselling. The support available extends beyond the family to also care for friends and colleagues affected by this type of loss and grief.

The invaluable services offered by Sunflowers are only possible due to the support and generosity of donors. Please help us to help Sunflowers continue with their fabulous work in memory of Frosty, the amazing man we were lucky to know and love.

About the charity

Sunflowers was created in memory of Pete Morris who died by suicide in 2016. His family developed the Charity to walk alongside others bereaved by suicide and to be a small ray of light in the darkness; offering others comfort and support that is so desperately needed at such a difficult time. Sunflowers endeavour to provide other families with practical and professional support so they do not feel overwhelmed and alone. This we hope will give a glimmer of hope for the future. Sunflowers also raise awareness around mental health and suicide both on social media and by networking locally and nationally. We deliver accredited training to the wider community and presentations sharing our story. We highlight that it is Okay to not be ‘Okay’ and the importance of talking and of course listening. We feel that everyone can play a small part in connecting with and helping others to feel less alone.
