We’re here for the cure. Cure Parkinson’s is working with urgency to find new treatments to slow, stop and reverse Parkinson’s.

Story

Hello everyone,

We are writing to you as we need your help. We have decided to take on the Prudential Ride London cycle challenge, a gruelling 100-mile bike ride from London to Surrey and back, no mean feat considering none of us have cycled more than 20 miles in our lives (well Charlie hasn't).

We have set ourselves this challenge partly for some healthy sibling competition, but predominantly for a cause that is very close to our hearts.

Two years ago, we found out that our Dad had been diagnosed with Parkinsons Disease which, as you can imagine, was extremely hard news to take.

Being completely honest, before we found out about Dad, Parkinsons wasn’t something we knew a great deal about, even though it affects about 127,000 people in the UK alone.

There is currently no cure for Parkinson’s, however the incredible volunteers at The Cure Parkinsons Trust are doing amazing work day in day out to ensure this does not remain the case for much longer.

We are determined to do our bit to help no matter how small and would be incredibly grateful if you could contribute to our Just Giving Page, which will go towards more research into finding a cure so that current and future sufferers don’t have to put up with it any more.

Thank you very much

George, Emily and Charlie
