Great North Run 2015 · 13 September 2015 ·

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

To many on this page, this is not a sight that you would expect to see.

A physique designed to run a bar rather than a half marathon, my pale and ill-defined calfs will pound the 13.3 miles between central Newcastle and Cheryl Cole's hometown of South Shields on the 11 of September.

However, much like a matured Frankie Cocozza from the X Factor 2011, I intend to give up hedonistic activities for a prolonged period of time in order to help a good cause in Parkinson's UK.

So, I hope you can find the time and the short security code on the back of your card to donate to a worthwhile cause and Parkinson's UK.
