Story
On the night of 25th January members of 40th Greenwich Scout Troop will be sleeping outside overnight in cardboard boxes to raise money for the Greenwich Foodbank. The Met Office is forecasting temperatures to reach -1 C and last year the Scouts woke up to find their cardboard boxes covered in snow.
We are packing our thermals, wooly hats and gloves. Hopefully we will get some sleep...
The Greenwich Foodbank provide nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to them in crisis. They are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK. G40 are proud to support this local charity.
