Battle of Britain 80km · 26 July 2020
Hello everyone and thank you for making your way to my just
giving page, please read on and hopefully you’ll donate.
So here we go again! Another mad challenge but This time I
am trying to help raise funds for the Oppo foundation who are helping to fund vital pieces of equipment for our ex Service Men and Women on their journey to the Invictus games next year, some of whom have suffered horrendously with physical and mental injuries.
So what am I going to do to earn your cash, well The 10 July
to 31 Oct marks the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Britain fought
in the Sky’s above the UK. To mark the occasion I will try to Run,
canter, jog, meander, shuffle, crawl(!) my way round the 80Km Battle of Britain virtual run (That’s the distance of 2 Marathons!!!) being arranged by the RAF Museum but I’m going to try and do it all in ‘ONE GO’ on the 26th June around the local area of RAF Cosford!!! I’ve given myself a target of £1000 which would be £1 per minute if I make it in my target time of 17hrs 20mins to cover the 80,000 meters! 2 marathons ‘back 2 back’ is going to be a painful day out and a sore / long recovery so I’ll be earning your donations but more importantly you will be helping to fund our brave wounded veterans on a battle back to mental and physical health by achieving Invictus goals aiding their recovery through the Oppo Foundation.
Hopefully by now you think the pain is substantial enough for a donation and the cause worthy of your support. Please give what you can by donating by card, phone or cash to me in person – thank you so very
much. If you can stretch to £20 then I’ll get an Oppo foundation credit
card holder to you.
Please remember to leave a message with your donations. Make them funny, personal, inspirational, supportive or even full of banter but do make one as it will help me through what will be a very long and brutal day!!! I'll try and keep this site updated with photos and progress on the day.
Thanks for your support to the charity and these recovering

The OppO Foundation are raising money to support Ex military personnel in their quest for gold by providing specialist training and physiotherapy. Competing in Tokyo 2020 is just one of the many goals. They want to inspire others to follow their lead and use sport to regain physical health, mental strength and a purpose in life. A great many military personnel have returned home with a disability suffered in the course of serving their country. With a little support they can do it. #TeamOppO
