Thank you for visiting our JustGiving page!

Georgina and Jonnie are taking on the challenge to run the Birmingham half marathon to raise money for Sophie's Silver Lining Fund. As students at Birmingham Conservatoire we are excited to be involved with a charity that supports the performing arts.

Sophie Large was tragically killed in a car accident in February 1998, aged nineteen. Her parents, Cherry and Stephen Large, set up a Memorial Fund, to be known as SOPHIE’S SILVER LINING FUND, to help needy young actors and singers with the considerable expenses of their training. As part of the charity, Cherry and Stephen have converted their barn into a beautiful performance space, where young musicians and actors are welcomed to rehearse and perform to a friendly audience. Georgina was lucky enough to perform at Sophie's Barn in 2016, and immediately fell in love with the charity and the opportunity that it had given her. As a result of this, she hopes to promote Sophie's Barn and raise money for the charity.

Fellow guitarist Jonnie, has very kindly agreed to join the run to kick off Georgina's campaign. This will be followed by a charity concert at Sophie's Barn before Christmas and another performance at the Conservatoire in March 2018.

Thank you so much for your support,

Georgina and Jonnie
