GEAES Welsh
3Peaks Challenge
With your help this could be a really exciting year for the Welsh 3 Peaks as we could reach an amazing milestone peak of £1m raised since the event first began!
In the last eleven years almost 4,000 people have travelled from as far a field as , , and to accept this challenge. Few have had any hiking experience! In ten years the GEAES Welsh 3Peaks Challenge has established itself as a major date both in the corporate and sporting calendar. Companies approach the event not only as a team building exercise but also a physical challenge.
Our team of OMLPs is represented by five hikers:
Samuel Hardy () based in Caledonian, GEAES,
Javier Fran Alaber () based in Unison Engine Components,
Paulina Ruszkiewicz () based in Bishops Cleve, GE systems,
Ian Ambury () based in , GEAES,
David Burvill () based in , GEAES,
And a driver:
Dave McLean () based in Bishops Cleve, GE systems,
Starting at 4am, from Pen y Pass, Snowdonia, our team will take on , drive down to the mighty Cadair Idris before continuing south to Pen y Fan in the Brecon Beacons. Team will walk a total distance of 20.35 miles and make a total ascent of 9,397ft (2,864m) in less than 15 hours. Our goal is to raise at least £1,100 in sponsorship for Ty Hafan.
As an OMLP I am rising funds for my colleagues who will be taking part in the GEAES Welsh 3Peaks Challenge 12.06.2010 scaling Snowdon, Cadair Idris and Pen-y-Fan in just 15 hours all in aid of TY Hafan – the family hospice for young lives. Please give generously

The event is entirely financed by General Electric Aircraft Engine Services based near Caerphilly and expertly organised by the dedicated members of GE Wales Elfun. Since the events first outing in 1998, Elfun have helped nearly 4,000 people to complete the Challenge and to raise almost a million pounds for Ty Hafan so why not help us try and increase this amount?
