Hello! Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page, I am taking part in a year long fundraising event for the MS Society running 12 races in 12 different places over 12 months kicking off with the Bupa Great Winter Run in Edinburgh on 10th January 2015.  The aim of this is not only to raise money but also to raise awareness of the disease that effects more than 100,000 people in the UK.  If you would like to donate then please give what you can afford. 

MS is a disease of the central nervous system that is caused by damage to the protective sheath that surrounds the spinal cord, the damage effects the way that the nerves in the body transmit with each other causing a wide range of symptoms including problems with vision, weak limbs, unsteadiness and fatigue.  For some, MS is characterised by periods of relapse and remission, for others it's progressive.  For everyone, it makes life unpredictable.
