I was given the devastating and earth shattering news that I had cancer in September 2013.  To say it completely rocked my world and that of my family and friends is an understatement.  Words cannot begin to describe what it does to you & those that love you.  I became 'girl interrupted!'

Thankfully I have finished my chemotherapy & radiotherapy.  Very recently I was given a very positive outlook  and told I am now in remission and aptly name myself 'Return of the Mac.'  Life will never be the same for me and I will not be content and feel safe for myself and my loved ones until we have managed to kick the ass out of ALL cancers!

I have always participated in the 5K Race for Life in memory of my loved ones, Aunts Glenis & Twigg and my friend Mags who unfortunately were all taken from us by cancer.  This year I am continuing to do the 5K Race for Life but I am also going to do the 5K Race for Life Pretty Muddy.  I am doing both of these events for my lost loved ones, but also for me and my cousin Ciaran who is also a survivor, like myself!

Events like Race for Life are vital in funding Cancer Research UK's life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. By sponsoring me, we can unite and create a force that cancer can't ignore.
