If you're not already aware we are celebrating 10 years of GMF and wanted to mark this momentus occasion with an even more momentus and crazy challenge....

THE GLOSSOP MILITARY FITNESS 24hr FITATHON

The challenge will be taking place on Saturday May 20th starting at 9am and will continue through to 9am on Sunday 21st May. 

Here's how it will work... I will be running 24 classes over the 24 hour period. Glossop Military Fitness members will then raise money based on how many classes they are prepared to commit too in that time. We want to get as many GMFers involved as possible to raise as much money as we can for a fantastic local charity. 

There will also be the option for people to simply turn up on the day, to make a donation and to get involved with a class or two. 

I aim to make all the classes different. There'll be sessions for the family, games, daft challenges and spot prizes. 

We have chosen to support Mummy's star for a couple of reasons... Firstly it is an awesome local charity which does amazing work supporting families dealing with cancer during pregnancy and beyond. Secondly, we have a great affiliation with Mummy's star having taken part in multiple events over the years for them. 

Finally, if we needed any other reason, it is also Mummy's Stars 10th birthday so we'll be celebrating together 🎉😍⭐

I'd like to say a massive thank you to everyone donating and supporting this event... I'd also like to preemptively thank and congratulate all GMFers for taking part and for hopefully making this an epic experience to remember forever 👊💥💯👏🤩

Mummy's Star is the only charity in the UK and Ireland dedicated to supporting pregnancy through cancer and beyond. Your donation means that women diagnosed with any cancer during pregnancy or within a year of a birth are able to reach Mummy's Star and the specialised support they offer. They help families to meet others in a similar position, offer small grants to relieve some financial burden, give support to partners and the wider family, promote awareness and support research.
