On September 11th 2022, Dan and Jack will be "attempting" to tackle the Great North Run and raising money for a fantastic children's charity based in the region called Brave Hearts of the North East.

Jack is no stranger to the challenge of the GNR and is aiming to better his previous PB of 2:10:00. Dan on the other hand will be running the half marathon for the first time and is hoping to make it round in one piece. 

Both will be wanting to cross the finish line as early as they can in order to get back to Jam Jar and get Jacks birthday celebrations underway.

Bravehearts is a charity which recognises the courage and bravery of the children in the North East of England. Bravehearts was founded as a channel for parents, nurses, friends and families of brave children to be able to nominate them to be recognised and rewarded with a Bravehearts crystal and a gift of their choice. This charity receives floods of applications each year and annual fundraising events and support from sponsors make it all possible. Bravehearts continue to put smiles on the faces of really courageous children.
