As you all know, Stephen moved on to be with his family in the stars on 2nd June 2019. That day was one of the hardest in our life and one that we will never forget!.  

For those of you that had the pleasure of meeting Stephen you will know that he was someone who lived life to the fullest, always put others first and loved cracking jokes and messing around, although he was never really a fan of being in the spotlight!

At the time he passed away he was riding his motocross bike which was one of the things he was passionate about in life, but a freak accident resulting in him crossing over to another part of track, colliding with his brother which ended with him leaving us. Stephen always used to say the best way to go would be doing something you loved and I don’t think he would have had it any other way.

At the funeral someone said this sentence that rang so very true…‘Stephen would not like all this fuss today, he would rather us celebrate the life he had and what he had achieved and the man that he became as opposed to grieving the fact that his life has been cut short and he is not with us anymore’

His brother Michael was taken away from the accident by the Air Ambulance team and on that day they saved another life! 2 years ago this amazing team saved another family member when they airlifted Sean Wainwright from an accident he had and he is now fit and healthy thanks to them and is taking part in the run as his way of saying thanks. The the work they do is amazing, but you don’t think about them until you need them for someone close to you. 

Over 25 of his close family and friends will be doing a Wolf Run on 8th September 2019to raise money for the Air Ambulance in memory of Stephen – anything that you are able to donate to this amazing cause would be greatly received by both them and us.
