Abseil for Puzzle · 22 July 2019

Autism Early Support (formerly Puzzle Centre) delivers early intervention for young children with autism & other communication difficulties; supports families & practitioners through our outreach. We believe each young child with these needs should get high quality education, therapy & support.

Story

As a Trustee of the Puzzle Centre I am always hearing of exciting and difficult things people do to raise funds to help us at Puzzle continue our work with very young children diagnosed with Autism or other communication difficulties.

So when the idea was hatched for a group of us to do an abseil for Puzzle I decided the time had come. What I didn't realise (actually wasn't told) was that we are planning to abseil down the Northampton Tower - which is 419 feet of descent. To put it into context that is higher than The Statue of Liberty, Big Ben, St.Pauls, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, 74 of me!!

I am supposed to be assured by the fact that the people tying the ropes have not lost anybody - yet!  Anyway too late to squirm out of it now, so on June 22nd I will be launched over the side and the rest as they say will be history.

If you can find it in your heart to donate a few quid for this very worthy cause - details are all here -
http://www.puzzlecentre.org.uk - it will make my unabashed terror worthwhile.

Thank you  (Currently unsquashed) Graham Wylie
