GRI ICU's STRAVA CHALLENGE

Glasgow Royal Infirmary Intensive care unit is raising money for Glasgow Association for Mental Health

GRI ICU STRAVA CHALLENGE · 15 June 2020

Glasgow Association for Mental Health (GAMH) is an independent charity registered in Scotland. We provide a range of innovative and person centred support services to people with mental health problems and their carers, including Young Carers. Our work produces positive life enhancing outcomes.

Story

Here at GRI ICU, Covid-19 has been the biggest challenge we have ever faced. During the Pandemic we were buoyed by the kindness, support and generosity of strangers.  Now we feel like it is time to give something back. Seen as we all love a challenge so much we have set ourselves a big one. To cover the distance from Lands End to John O'Groats, all 874miles of it! Due to social distancing and those pesky 12 hour shifts this will be completed over a one week period starting the 15th June. Mileage will be collected individually through socially distanced exercise and uploaded to Strava. Mileage can be achieved walking, running or cycling as far as you can!

Given the challenging times everyone around the world is facing we wanted to support a local Mental Health Charity. An important cause close to all our hearts. So please complete your mileage and pledge anything you can to a good cause.

So lets get back outside, work off all those donated cakes and raise some money for a great cause! :)
