We are 5 prawn crackers from Grant Thornton Transaction Services training to complete the 3 Peaks Challenge in June 2010 for The Alzheimer's Society.

We at Team Peaking Express have made a pact to leave our satay chicken skewers, wonton noodles and kung po beef to climb the highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales within 24 hours (!!!) and raise awareness of the good wok done by The Alzheimer's Society.

So be a good bean sprout and donate as much as you can. All donations go straight to The Alzheimer's Soceity

 The three peaks are: 

-   Ben Nevis (Scotland) - peaking at 1,344 metres (4,409ft)

-   Snowdon (Wales) -  scraping the sky at 1,085 metres (3,560ft) 

-   Scafell Pike (England) - towering at 978 metres (3,209ft)        

 So in total that's 3,407 metres (11,179ft) up (and down!) in just 24 hours.  Read more on 

 

What does The Alzheimer's Society do?

The Alzheimer's Society works to improve the quality of life for people affected by dementia in the UK.  Dementia is a terrible disease that causes a loss of brain function that is usually progressive and eventually severe.  The money that you donate to help us with this challenge will all go directly to The Alzheimer's Society enabling to provide support to families that have been effected by Alzheimer's and fund research to how to battle Dementia and eventually cure it.

 

When's the big push? 

It will be over the weekend from 11 June - 13 June 2010
