Story
I feel very lucky to have my own home, being warm in winter, never lacking food, having the support of friends and family when things are difficult. Unfortunately, not everyone is as lucky!
I am going to sleep out for a night on 11th November in Spitafields Market in order to raise money for the charity Centrepoint.
Centrepoint is the national charity that supports and campaigns for homeless young people. They offer a range of safe accommodation from emergency night shelters through to supported independent flats and specialist mother and baby services.
They help young people address the issues that led them to become homeless and offer the chance to turn things around with counselling, accredited education programmes, life skills courses such as cooking and budgeting, and opportunities to work.
£10 helps provide a bed in an emergency hostel for a night. £50 can buy hot meals for a homeless young person for one week. There is never a good season to be without a home but I feel with winter approaching, it is especially important to support this charity.
Please donate what you can.
Many many thanks for them.
