Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Taken ill on the 24th august - (day after birthday,) with suspected mumps and admitted to Leighton Hospital Crewe. Within a few days i was moved to the ICU Unit.

Then on the 4th September I was transfered to Leicester with Strep A pneumonia and Septicemia and admited to ICU then ECMO treatment for 9 days, of which time chances of survival were slim.

Then Transfered back to Stoke City General ICU in the October and moved onto a ward christmas time, January transfered again to Heyward Rehab Stoke, where I learnt to walk again and look after myself, finally coming home at the end of March.

Still not able to go back to work due to risk of infections and muscle weakness, but we would like to raise some funds for the ECMO Unit and also raise the awarness of becoming a blood donor.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
