Gaming Marathon to raise money for Trinity Hospice · 27 March 2015

Trinity Hospice and Brian House Children's Hospice provide specialist palliative care to adults and children across the Fylde Coast and much needed support for their families. Our services are available free of charge, but with limited government funding we need to raise over £10 million every year.

I'm trying to raise money for the Trinity Hospice in Blackpool - this is a facility which looked after my mother during her final days many years ago.  I'm now in the position where I can try and do something to fund raise for this excellent cause who looked after my mother and made sure she was as comfortable as possible.

Losing someone you love will never be an easy thing to go through, but little things can keep you sane through the process.  A nurse giving you a hug when you're crying as you leave or being allowed to spend that bit longer with a loved one whilst they are as comfortable as they can be.

So for these reasons, I'd like to raise as much as I can for this excellent cause.  Hopefully everybody reading this page will never have to go into a place like this but if you ever do you'll understand just how important places like Trinity are.

So in the early hours of Friday the 27th of March I'll be buying a copy of a highly anticipated game - Bloodborne - this is a chance for me to play a newly released game for a long period of time and hopefully do some good with it too.  I'll obviously be playing other games too because if I sat there and played Bloodborne for a solid 24 hours I think I'd lose my tiny mind.

My broadcast will be on www.twitch.tv/screamingjoypad and all the donation details will also be on that page too.
