Virgin London Marathon 2016 · 24 April 2016 ·

We’re the only charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands. That’s why we help children who’ve been abused to rebuild their lives, we protect children at risk, and we find the best ways of preventing child abuse from ever happening.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Having been inspired by running my first Half Marathon in Henley , i am now going to push my self even further and Run the 2016 London Marathon for the NSPCC .

Jut the thought makes me shudder , however i am always someone that likes to take on a challenge and this seemed to good an offer to refuse and i know my partner Claire who sadly passed away in March 2014 will be looking down on me with a glass of Wine chuckling to herself that yet again i have shocked her with another crazy adventure.

When I met Claire in 2010 and asked her for a date she told me she had a ticking bomb in her head but brushed it off and then asked about me and through out our 4 and half years she  never once complained and only focused on Living and helping others. Claire's main focus was her own children and protecting vulnerable children and Claire was an outstanding social worker for Bucks Social services where she went onto run a Child Protection Team and deal with the highest risk Vulnerable Child related cases in the county and passionatley thrived on removing vulnerable children from bad or vulnerable parents .

Not once did she ever speak about a case and not once did she ever complain about her own condition, she lived life like a super hero and In the last year I have  reflected on what an amazing human being she is and was and the impact she had on my life and on thousands of children's lives and it seems only right that I continue her Legacy through raising money for the NSPCC In Claire's name .

Claire died like she told me she would instantly and of a Brain Aneurysm and on Shroves Tuesday 4th March 6.30pm at a random Parking meter in Aylesbury that was the day I lost my life partner and she never came home and that was the day like many others who have been on a similar journey my life changed .

I may not ever find another Claire and maybe I don't need to but I can certainly  do all I can to raise money for a cause that I know would be close to her heart which is protecting vulnerable children .

The NSPCC and protecting vulnerable children work hand in hand and parallel with Claires Passion and i want to continue that legacy by raising money for such an amazing charity .

Every donation is a Inspiration to me and however small the amount every bit will help me along what will be a life changing challenge and humbling journey.

Much Love

Boysie and Claire xx
