Story
In memory of my son Matthew Carscadden who sadly left us in June 2017, aged 27.
Life can throw us some challenges and we may need support to deal with these, this Everest challenge is about helping to raise some funds for a very worthwhile charity called Reuben's Retreat who provide support to those who need it, whilst also pushing myself to achieve a personal goal of reaching Base Camp of Mount Everest.
Those who know me will know how the loss of my son has been a life changing situation that I have had help with from various support groups, and the work that Reuben's Retreat do to help parents who have lost a child or are soon to lose a child, is truly amazing.
Please help me to help RR go on with this amazing work, visit their website www.reubensretreat.org to read more about the great work they do.
Reuben’s Retreat was founded in August 2012, just 2 days after Reuben Graham died aged just 23 months old. His Mummy Nicola created the charity to help others who are facing or already dealing with similar heartbreak, walking side-by-side with families offering emotional and practical support for parents and siblings bereaved of a child and for families of life limited or threatened children who face uncertain futures. To find out more about this incredible charity, please visit their website www.reubensretreat.org or social media channels.
