Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Gary and I are running the London Marathon 2022 primarily raising funds for the CdLS Foundation and we thank them for giving us the opportunity to run for them. They do fantastic work in their field and you can read all about the charity in the link below.

Our main inspiration in participating is in memory of our dear friend Ryan Silk who sadly lost his battle with Bowel Cancer last October. Ryan is and will always be hugely missed by his friends and family and we know he'd be having a good laugh at our struggles through training and especially on race day and he will be firmly in our thoughts throughout.

Ryan's legacy will always be his remarkably brave message in his final days to other, young men to encourage them to get aches and pains checked out and not to ignore them and let this page be a reminder of that message!

As I said, primarily we are running to support CdLS but any fundraising we receive beyond our target for them we aim to help support a cause that is close to Ryan and his family.

We appreciate any support and hopefully well see some friendly faces come race day to help us along the way!

Many thanks

Gary & Dan
