TESTICULAR CANCER IS A PAIN IN THE BALLS

Hi guys as most of you are aware I had a slight run in with cancer over christmas, thankfully i'm 100% better now and had my first all clear from cancer at the end of april and hope to have many more in the month/years to come.

Having benifited so greatly from the work that is continually being done to improve cancer care I felt it was only right that I try and make a contribution so that ongoing improvements can be made.  Hence I am running a half marathon with a group of mates to raise money for cancer research so that hopefully in the future more people can be as lucky as I was.

Advancements in cancer care have and are coming on leaps and bounds, it would have only been a few decades ago that my chances of being here would have of been drastically lower.  The pronosis for my type of cancer was extremely high compared to others offering a 90% survival rate, whereas other types of cancers typically only have a five year survival rate of around 40% and for instance lung cancer, an extremely common cancer amongst smokers only has a 6% 5 year survival rate.
