Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Every since being diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis I wanted my life back from this terrible disease that takes over your life. In late 2011medication failed to help me anymore and I was rushed into hospital to have my large bowel removed. I had a permanent ileostomy formed and had further corrective surgery the following year.  I had my life back with this operation and I wanted to prove to myself and others that things had not changed and I was still capable of achieving many things. I have already completed 2 Belfast marathons and the London Marathon was something I always wanted. What a better way to do it and support the great charity that helps so many suffering from Crohn's and Colitis. Through advice, research into the disease and nursing care it helps those suffering and recovering.
