Gary's Movember for Macmillan Cancer Support

Movember · 1 November 2014
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
The 31st of October 2014 marked the 1st anniversary of my wife, Melanie, surgery to remove cancer. During the past year she has undergone chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments to ensure that the cancer never returns!
To celebrate this anniversary, I have decided to grow a moustache during Movember (http://uk.movember.com/) and raise money for 4 important cancer charities:
· Macmillan Cancer Support (http://www.macmillan.org.uk/Home.aspx) because both cancer patients and post-cancer survivors need support, care and understanding.
· Cancer Research UK (http://www.cancerresearchuk.org/) because through research we’ll beat this vile disease.
· Prostate Cancer UK (http://prostatecanceruk.org/) because Movember is a man’s thing.
· Chai Cancer Care (http://www.chaicancercare.org/) for their support of both cancer patients and post-cancer survivors within the Jewish community.
Each Sunday during November I will post a picture of my moustache’s progress on Twitter (https://twitter.com/gary_weinstein / @gary_weinstein), LinkedIn and my company’s website (www.akonia.com/movember).
At the end of November I will record a video of my moustache being shaved off!
If everyone in my network made a donation of at least £5 then
together we will raise thousands of pounds (£) for these essential charities.
Please share this with your network.
Thanks and regards … Gary
