With a new blood cancer diagnosis every 27 seconds worldwide, Cure Leukaemia funds research nurses at UK blood cancer centres, giving patients access to treatments through clinical trials. This support drives global significant advancements in blood cancer, impacting those affected by the disease.

Story

OK here we go again....

After a mad 2023 - where I sandwiched the London to Paris ride between the RideLondon100 event a couple of weeks before, and riding a mountain stage of the Tour de France a couple of weeks later.... I'm back ! Looking to do a couple of Spring Classics in March and April 2025 - as always, for CureLeukaemia...

* Gent-Wevelgem in March and...

* Paris-Roubaix in April ("the Hell of the North").

Why am I doing this?

Leukaemia is an horrendous disease which my wife has spent many years treating as a specialist nurse in blood cancers at several London hospitals. In 2016 this took more of a personal turn as my close friend lost his son at the age of 6 in spite of the amazing support of medical professionals. Since then he has dedicated himself to raising the profile of this terrible disease and securing funds in the hope this can’t happen to other families in the future. This is my way of trying to give something back.

Cure Leukaemia is an amazing charity which seeks to support families going through the worst time of their lives, funding research and providing access to new treatments that are being developed to give hope to families that may have exhausted all other treatment options. With further focus and donations we can make a difference and that is why I am taking on this challenge.

Thank you in advance for what could be a life changing donation for people and their families in the future.
