Hi everyone

I am looking to raise money for a charity that has become very close to my heart over the last 10 years or so.

Together with 7 freinds and colleagues I am taking part in the Three Peaks Challenge, if you are not aware the challenge combines climbing the three highest mountains in the UK.

The three mountains are Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scarfell Pike in the Lake District and Mount Snowden in Wales.  

These three mountains must be all climbed within a 24 hour period, along with my freinds and colleagues and a dedicated support team we aim to raise not only alot of money for this worthwhile charity, but also raise awareness in a disease that affects so many people both young and old. 

I am looking to raise as much money as possible for this charity,as my sister Amanda was diagnosed with a rare brain disease which also includes the early onset of dementia. She was diagnosed with this during her late 20s and at now the age of 35 needs 24 hour care from my parents, close family and a dedicated care team.

Over the last 2 years Amanda's condition has rapidly decreased and she requires high level care with all of the day to day tasks we all take so much for granted.  

Also what many people don't realise is that this disease affects young people as well as old and a new case of dementia occurs every 3 minutes in England and Wales. Also The Alzheimer's Research Trust receives no government funding and relies on donations to fund its vital research.
