Story
Many will know that Maria fell ill during June 2016 and was diagnosed with Relapsing Remitting Multiple Sclerosis in September. Throughout the summer Maria suffered terribly with many problems including optic neuritis which caused significant loss of sight in her left eye and constant nausea and insomnia for about 4 months. Despite the many debilitating symptoms and having to give up work, Maria kept a positive outlook on things and by October was feeling much more like herself. 2017 sees her facing new challenges but specifically Maria wants to get back to marathon running. This is going to be challenging as she remains weak on the left side and fatigues quickly. Hopefully the support provided by the MS Therapy Centre will help her prepare herself for the marathon in April.
