For the last 18 years working as a physio assistant for Bucks NHS Trust I have been assisting with the delivery of Cardiac rehab classes at both Wycombe and Stoke Mandeville hospitals.

As a result, I have witnessed first hand how beneficial these classes are in supporting people to improve their fitness, confidence and knowledge after their cardiac event.

Not only do they get to exercise in a safe, controlled environment but they can chat to people who have been through a similar experience.

Hearts and Souls raise money to support this great service so now it’s time for me to walk over some bridges! 

Ray and I will be joining the charity this year for their annual event. The bridges walk is something that I kept meaning to do with Gisele Merry (a previous cardiac exercise specialist) but sadly she passed away suddenly earlier this year. Gisele completed the walk a few times and was always trying to coerce others into taking part. Gisele - this is for you!
