CAN is a UK based charity whose aim is to help some of the poorest people on the planet – the mountain people of Nepal. It helps local communities to raise their standard of living and strengthen indigenous, community-based cultures.

Story

In aid of Imperial Medics RAG campaign to support Community Action Nepal (CAN), I'm running (very slowly) 42 KM through Paris on the 9th of April.

CAN supports local communities from the Middle Hill Region of Nepal, and focuses on providing access to education, health care and sanitation to an estimated 250,000 people. Incredible work is being done for this community ensuring access to basic human rights and preserving their indigenous culture. If you want to know more details of what CAN is achieving, you can go to their website at:

The work done by this organisation is particularly close to my heart, after growing up in South East Asia while being witness to extreme poverty. I am lucky enough to be able to afford to run a marathon, and hope that in doing so I am reminded of how fortunate I am. Therefore, I would love your support to contribute to such a worthwhile charity.

Thank you!
