Hi I am Gemma and I am doing a bungee jump for my Warrington project, with the help of Life after Loss. The money raised from this jump is going to fund the training for a bereavement midwife for Warrington General Hospital. If I raise £1000 I will be jumping off a crane in Manchester over 160 ft high praying that the rope does not snap!!!!!!!!!! So please dig deep and make me do the dreaded jump!

I lost my own baby in 2004 and ever since then  have received support from charities like Life after Loss, and eventually I have progressed to the side of supporting others.

At the beginning of ths year I embarked on a more personal project with the help of the charity to improve bereavement services in Warrington. This includes getting things like photography equipment (to capture precious memories), clothing, furniture, literature, etc. Also I am running a phone helpline and monthly support group at the hospital and am actively involved in continuing to work with the hospital to improve services and facilities for parents who have to deal with the tragedy of losing a baby in Warrington. All the changes I am implementing will benefit victims of miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, late miscarriage, stillbirth and neonatal loss. I wish Warrington did not need a bereavement midwife but while parents are still losing their precious babies I want them to have the best possible care.

Please help me, and help famlies in my area. If I raise the money for this who knows I may be jumping for more midwives elsewhere! They are needed all over the UK and hopefully my jump will be the start of something bigger with my project AND the inspiration for others!
