Bupa Great South Run · 28 October 2012 ·

Rowans Hospice provides end of life care across South East Hampshire. We help improve quality of life for the patient around the clock. We receive a very small level of Government support and almost all of the money required to provide our services needs to be raised through voluntary giving.

Story

Hey there, we're doing the Great South Run to raise hugely valuable funds for The Rowans Hospice, who did an amazing job of looking after Gemma's dad Brian earlier this year.

The staff there are really rather incredible; as well as working around the clock doing a massively difficult job, the nurses showed such genuine compassion while looking after Brian - and the entire family, in fact. We can't imagine what we'd have done without those guys.

So, while we're doing the Great South Run in memory of Brian, this challenge is in tribute to the Rowans nurses. What they do is most definitely harder than running ten miles.

Any donations are going to a very good cause.
