Midnight Mountain Trek · 10 December 2016

We protect and support children and young people, providing practical and emotional care and support. We ensure their voices are heard, and campaign to bring lasting improvements to their lives. Our vision is that every child and young person has a safe and happy childhood, and the foundations they need to thrive.

Story

Hi, my names Gemma and I'm a Senior Play worker working with children from the age of 4 up to 12. I have always worked with children from supporting Autistic and Special Needs Education to Mainstream Play work.

I have always done something for charity, whether that be sponsored walks in onesies, sponsored dog walks, a 60 mile bike ride from Brecon to Penarth, Christmas gift bags for the homeless etc.

This year I am doing a trek up Pen-y-Fan mountain in the pitch black at midnight, descending with the sunrise. The trek will take around 5/6 hours to complete. I am doing this to raise money for 'Action for Children'. This charity supports the children of the UK who are suffering. Their suffering can be anything from abuse and neglect to homelessness and poverty. I am so passionate about this Charity and the hard work they do.

If you too want to help the suffering Children in the UK then please donate what ever you can to this page, to sponsor me in my Midnight Trek :-)

Much love, Gemma x
