Story
UPDATE: As many of you will know I had to visit A&E during my marathon training and was diagnosed with a painful case of tendonitus. This put an end to my marathon hopes for 2014 as planned (and 2015 too sadly). However I am still hoping to have recovered to do the marathon in 2016. Then I think I may hang up my running shoes! Thank you for all of those who have donated so far. x
Christian Aid do fantastic work and are truly one of the best international development charities around. From rehabilitating former child soldiers in Uganda, supporting people living with HIV in South Africa or helping the survivors of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines - they really do fantastic work. They also campaign tirelessly to ensure the poorest and most marginalised people are spoken up for. So please help me to help them!
On a personal note; in September I completed my first half marathon (which was not easy!) and I would now love to now complete a whole marathon for a great cause. In total I will have run 392 training miles before I even undertake the marathon - which is like running the entire way across England from St Bees to Robin Hoods bay, and back!! (and then a bit more!). So this is a very big challenge for me. Especially as I will be training in the cold, dark depths of winter (December, January and February). So please extend some sympathy towards me and donate to my page. Thank you very much xx
