About 5  years ago,  I was diagnosed with inflammatory arthritis and have been on so much medication since. The medication was life changing and helped me to manage my pain. There are times when I feel embarrassed about my condition and what it has done to my body,  the charity VERSUS ARTHRITIS are making it ok to talk about! So many young(ish) 🙈 people like me suffer daily and we need to talk about it! Raising money for this charity is so important and plus running the Great North Run this year was a real life changer for me, empowering and allowed me to take stock of my life ❤️

My arthritis is up and down and there are days when lifting a jumper hurts so bad but then there are days when I can run 16 miles!! A flare up can leave me in pain and almost unable to move at times and I’ve recently had to go back onto weekly methotrexate injections but it will not hinder me, I just need to listen to my body and take it easy when I need to! 

Running, dancing, barre and Pilates keeps me fit and my next goal is to complete a marathon! I’m so proud of how far I have come and will keep running until my body tells me to stop!
