Shani had a large hole in her heart and no artery between her heart and lungs. She suffered heart failure and her family was told she wouldn't recover. Yet, for 5 3/4 yrs, until she died, Shani was a joyful little girl, with a magic heart. We now help other heart children live full and happy lives.

Story

On Sunday 12th September I will be participating in the Pulse challenge for Shine for Shani. We will be walking 20 miles from Great Ormond Street Hospital to Borehamwood.

The charity's aim is to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital for the life saving treatment of children in cardiac intensive care. The charity is also raising money currently for part funding a Holoscope at Schnieder Children's Medical Centre in Tel Aviv. This piece of equipment will enable greater precision in diagnosis and higher survival rates for children with serious heart conditions.

We will be walking in memory of our friend Shani who was born with a complex congenital heart defect.
