A few years ago a friend of mine completed the Mount Kilimanjaro climb, which inspired me deeply. At the time my wife and I were incredibly busy with our business working all hours of the day, so a trip to Africa was far from being on my agenda, but it has always been in the back of my mind.
Now, I am able to visit Africa and explore its beauty and rawness, whilst climbing the fourth highest mountain in the world!
For me this is much more than a personal challenge but an opportunity to raise awareness for a great cause by helping raise money for the local charity ‘Momentum’. After seeing the support that Momentum gives families of children with cancer, and being a father of four, this is a charity that will remain close to my heart.
