Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My name is Geoff  Heapy ,im a 36 year old man,and for 10 years i was stuck in addiction. My addiction took me to sleeping rough on the streets of Bury, ,commiting crime on a daily basis, with numours prison sentances.  I i came into recovery in May last year after a long prison sentance, to  learn about my addiction and help me live a life without using substances. Now I am clean and sober and in recovery and want to share my story and encourage others to consider recovery.  I want to help other people with drug and alcohol problems especially those who find themselves homeless, who may need support to help them to even consider Recovery and beyond.  The staff at the ARC (abstinence and recovery centre) provide fantastic support to help with this process and I have had support from 2nd Chance (POPS) in particular to consider employment and regain meaning in my life.  I have never boxed prior to this event but have been undergoing regular training with the guys at white collar boxing which has helped with my discipline and health. Any money raised will go towards supporting those who are in the same position as me last year to take the first step into recovery. It is life changing. Please support my cause. Thanks Geoff
