Please come out and support us in day:-)
We would like you to meet our mascot Eden aged at an adorable 21 months.
At 17 months old Edens life changed from a normal busy toddler walking and running around to suddenly not being able to stand without a struggle in the morning, even to sit up was hard.
People thought she was just being a bit lazy.
After weeks of Xrays, Ultrasounds, tests and finally being seen by a bone specialist Eden was diagnosed with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis She started with Oligio Arthritis which can attack the eyes and cause blindness if not checked regularly as well as the overgrowth of the joints.
Eden has had to attend the hospital now on numerous occasions for general anaesthetic where she would then have Steroid injection in to all of the affected joints.
Due to the amount of joints now affected It has jumped up to a level now called Polyarthritis, Eden is now being prepared to start the Methotrexate drug which entails an injection once a week.
Eden will go on to live a very happy normal life if this is monitored and kept under control.
